David Hancock, DVM

Dr. David Hancock Hospital director and general practitioner at Perinton Veterinary Hospital, Dr. David Hancock originally hails from Carthage, NY.

He attended the New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and received his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 1971. Dr. Hancock went on to attend the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1975.

Dr. Hancock has professional interests in animal dentistry. Each year he commits to 30-60 hours of continuing education.

Dr. Hancock joined Monroe Veterinary Associates in 1985, and served as hospital director at Fairview Animal Hospital from 1985 to 1987 and as hospital director at Companion Animal Hospital from 1989 to 1992. He is a past-president of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society.

Dr. Hancock participates in church activities and is a member of several local and national veterinary organizations. Some of these organizations include the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association (past president and past treasurer), the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Dental Society.

An avid golfer and woodworking enthusiast, Dr. Hancock is married to Ann. They share their home with two dogs, Alley and Teddy, and a cat named Levi.
